Since last week the diggers have been back at work in the Bioenergiepark Hof/Saale. In 2010, the second of three biogas installations are to be erected. Its operation should follow in September 2010, 12 months after the first installation. The power of the second biogas plant is higher than the first: instead of 716 kW the new Blockheizkraftwerk of the second biogas installation will produce 800 kW electrical power per hour. Nevertheless this second stage of construction will be of smaller scale, because the administration building has already been built last year and the heat channels for all three installations laid down. The second biogas installation will supply a large part of its clean heat energy from renewable raw materials to the adjacent Viessmann Kältetechnik AG.
“In the meantime more and more farmers having been coming to us, supplying us with renewable raw materials” so says Raban Woryna from enbion GmbH, who are the project developers of the Bioenergiepark. The biogas installation offers secure contract provisions and thereby creates a decent alternative in cultivation for farmers.
The second biogas installation is also being built and operated according to the same high technical standards as before. Because of these standards, during 6 months of operation there has been no cause for complaint whatsoever.
Raban Woryna further: “What we said in the planning phase has been achieved: the significant reservations of a few residents have proved ungrounded. With the right concepts of technology and operation, pollution is avoided to a high degree of certainty. The Bioenergiepark Hof/Saale is a showcase project.”
Consequently, since the activation of the first installation many visitors, including visitors from abroad e.g. China, Angola and Mozambique, have become acquainted with the use of biogas in the Bioenergiepark.
